What you will learn in this course

This is a beginner-focused choreography course, thoughtfully designed for those students new to the world of sabre or instructors wanting to learn beginner-friendly phrases for their students. If you're looking to step beyond basic technique and explore the more creative side of spinning a sabre, this course provides the comprehensive instruction you need to learn sabre choreography.

We delve into a variety of choreographic elements, through 5 specially crafted beginner phrases, each tailored to enhance your understanding and enjoyment of sabre as you learn! By the end of this course, you will have expanded your repertoire and learned how to add elegance and performance quality to your spinning.

Each phrase is presented in a dedicated section, complete with a full tutorial, breaking down each individual skill, and a music run! There are also optional 'Check Your Spinning' sections at the end of each chapter, where you can submit a video of yourself doing all or some of the choreography, to encourage you to seek feedback and refinement!

Pre-requisites: This course is designed for students who have a basic understanding of color guard and are ready to explore beyond technique. It is recommended to have a small amount of experience spinning a sabre prior to enrollment, but not required since every skill is still thoroughly explained!
